Think Legal Recruitment Rides Castle to Castle for Thomas

Think Legal Recruitment, a leading Legal Recruitment firm based in the heart of Manchester are raising money for Tom’s Journey by cycling “Castle to Castle” – a journey of over 113 miles from Leasowe Castle, Wirral to Harlech Castle, North Wales.

If you’d like to help them reach their target you can do so through their Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/castletocastlebikeride

Think Legal Recruitment’s Founder and Director Joe Gregory’s description of the ride is below – Taken from the Think Legal Recruitment Blog:

This is a blog I prayed I’d never have to write.

Earlier this year my cousin Dan and his wife Emma went through the unimaginable pain of losing their baby boy Thomas after a 6 month battle following his birth last year. For the family this is a very private tragedy, yet they want to make the story of Thomas’s brave battle against all the odds public. Part of this, of course, is to remember him their second child and baby brother to Henry but this is also about highlighting the amazing work of Alder Hey Children’s hospital’s Intensive Care unit.

They want to raise money in Thomas’s name not just for Alder Hey but specifically for the ICU which gave him such wonderful care while providing support to Emma and Dan during his short life. They were fantastic and deserve all the recognition and praise in the world for the work they do in giving very sick babies world class care.Dan and Emma have set up a fund for Alder Hey ICU called “Tom’s Journey”.  https://www.tomsjourney.co.uk

Myself and a friend of mine came up with the rather silly idea of cycling from Leasowe Castle on the Wirral (near where Dan and Emma grew up) to Harlech Castle in North Wales to support this fundraising effort. It represents a total distance of 113 miles in one day on Friday 7th September.

I appreciate people are peppered with fundraising requests all year round but hopefully this represents a worthy cause and a tough enough challenge for you to help if you have a few quid spare.

I’ve included the link in this post with more info about Tom’s Journey and the cause that is so close to our hearts.

Joe Think Legal.

As parents who are still coming to terms with the loss of our baby Thomas both Joe and Michael’s sheer determination to raise funds in Thomas’ name is a warming and uplifting reminder that Thomas touched so many people in his short life and we will continue to raise much needed funds and support others in his name.

Big love Joe & Michael from all of us – THANK YOU, and good luck xxxx.
